Cell Phone Numbers & text messaging
My boyfriend is not a huge fan of cell phone texting. When I would text him, he wouldn't reply by text; instead he would call me back. After a few months of this going on, I realized he didn't know how to text! I don't know if he even knew how to view the texts I was sending him.
In an attempt to bring him into the current decade, I bought him a new phone for his birthday: The Rumor by LG, carried by Sprint. This cell phone is lightweight, easy to use, reliable, and it has some really cool features and options.
It has a digital dual-band capability that will allow him to make and receive calls while on the Sprint network and to roam on other 1900 and 800 MHz digital networks.
Using the cell phone number provider's vision plan, he can access the wireless internet. He has access to mail, SMS text messaging, and SMS voice messaging.
The feature I liked most and was the largest selling point for me is the slide-out QWERTY keyboard that makes cell phone texting easy and fast.
The cell phone number can also receive via download games, ringers, screen savers and other cool tools so that he can personalize his cell phone.
The contact list will allow him to store up to 500 cell phone number entries, with up to five cell phone numbers per entry. There is also speed dial so he can dial cell phone numbers with one or two keystrokes.
One key tool I wanted him to have is the built-in calendar which will help him to remember all those key dates and appointments that he currently forgets.
There is the usual built-in camera that can take full-color digital pictures that can be sent as a picture message or saved and used as caller IDs.
A cool tool I didn't realize exists is a wireless backup that will allow him to back up and manage his cell phone number's contact list on a secure website. It will back up the phone's contact list, transfer the cell phone number's contact list to another wireless back-up compatible cell phone number on the network, and he can view and edit the cell phone number's contact list using a web browser on a PC or Mac. This tool seem especially helpful (when used properly) to save him from the huge hassle of having to re-enter all of the contacts in his cell phone directory when he gets a new phone or if his phone is stolen.
I sincerely hope this new cell phone will solve all of the problems of making sure we communicate effectively and messages aren't lost any more. This phone's keyboard should make texting a breeze.
