High school students have been notorious for setting the fad. Ten years ago only the rich kids had cell phones, over time owning a cell phone became something affordable for kids to have. In the past 2 years high schools students started using the text messaging service to a level nobody could expect. I’ve heard several stories from parents stating their high school student has sent and received over 5,000 text messages in one month time period. That is an incredible amount of text messages.

In the past few months high school students have started to utilize the cell phone directory technology. And as usual they are taking the cell phone directory service to new levels. We started seeing this influx of cell phone number lookups start in California and spread like wild fire throughout the United States. Its typical that the United States will start a trend and other countries will pick it up. So our analysts are overwhelmed with the possibilities that this could mean for our cell phone directory services.

Why are high school students using a cell phone directory now and not before…

Our cell phone directory analysts state that it could be similar to the early days of the cell phone. The cell phone directory technology is finally at a point where it reasonably priced and high school students can convince their parents this is a “has to have”. Same story with cell phone text messaging, once the cell phone text messaging service reached a technology point where cell phone providers could afford to allow cell phone user to send an unlimited amount of text messages, it became very appetizing to high school students.

Where is the cell phone directory technology going to go from here?

The cell phone directory technology is very immature at this point so the skies the limit right now. We have one big idea still in the hopper, basically waiting for something like this to happen before we execute on it. The most important piece of a cell phone directory that we will never loose focus on, is the cell phone numbers. Keeping the cell phone numbers accurate is always a the biggest piece.
