Finding cell phone numbers

Cell phone numbers are universally debarred from phone books, and phone directories. In the last 2 years people have been dropping their landline services and going with cell phone numbers. All the cell phone providers were going to get together and compile a list of cell phone numbers to create a comprehensive cell phone directory.

The proposal was communicated at selling cell phone numbers to telemarketing companies and stated to get a lot of attention through email chains. Everything associated to this comprehensive group of cell phone numbers was completely blown out of proportion for a couple of reasons. First of all it was an opt-in cell phone directory which wasn’t communicated in the email chains. Secondly, the cell phone directory was not going to sell the cell phone numbers to telemarketers.

Long story short the comprehensive cell phone directory never made it off the ground so there still isn’t a perfect way to find public cell phone numbers.
